Babyletto is a nursery furniture company specializing in sustainable, durable pieces that can transform to suit the needs of a growing child. The company’s first showroom provides a unique shopping experience for expecting parents seeking a more modern touch with their nursery furniture, while still keeping a California aesthetic. The team was tasked to transform the retail space into an elevated, sophisticated showroom where guests can test out Babyletto’s furniture in a modern but playful space.

The showroom’s custom millwork seating, such as the yellow-toned modular banquette, was inspired by common stacking toys toddlers use. The material palette pairs the company’s signature colors with clean, natural materials like light oak and stone-look flooring. Sustainability was crucial to the overall design, aligning with Babyletto’s ethos of recyclability in their furniture. Digital navigation points were placed throughout the showroom to integrate the company’s existing online store with the physical store. Producing the construction drawing set, while still maintaining the integrity of the design with the client’s budget goals, was a personal task that was taken on. The construction administration phase was also an important step to the end result.
